Description

Role: Project Manager – Healthcare site


Location: Manchester
Contract: 6 Months minimum.  Monday to Friday - 40 hours.  On-site
Rate: £450 – £500 per day CIS

Mandatory:



  • SMSTS
  • 3-day First Aid
  • Enhanced DBS (or ability to obtain )
  • Temporary Works
  • Black CSCS card

We are recruiting a strong, delivery-focused Project Manager to take control of multiple upgrade projects (up to £10m) within a live, operational healthcare estate in Manchester.

This environment is fast-moving and stakeholder-heavy. You must be confident, commercially aware and experienced in driving projects properly through the RIBA stages 2-7.

Healthcare experience is desirable but not essential. 

 


What This Role Requires




  • Excellent working knowledge of RIBA Stages 2–7


  • Background in MEP, or Fit out, or, FM or, design management


  • Experience managing projects in live / operational environments


  • Strong programme control and commercial awareness


  • Ability to manage contractors, subcontractors and demanding stakeholders


  • Confidence to challenge where required


 

This is suited to someone who:



  • Can walk onto a complex healthcare site and take control


  • Understands risk and planning


  • Is comfortable operating at £5m–£10m project value


 


Core Responsibilities




  • Full ownership of projects from pre-con through to handover


  • Driving progress through each RIBA stage 2-7 with structure and governance


  • Managing supply chain performance and technical compliance


  • Tight control of budgets, variations and programme


  • Leading health & safety in a live healthcare environment


  • Acting as the main interface between client and delivery teams


 


 

This is a demanding programme and requires an experienced Project Manager. If you are used to structured delivery, clear accountability and high expectations, this will suit you.
