Fire Door Inspector
Role: Self-Employed Fire Door Inspector (Outside IR35)
Location: Central London - High-Rise Commercial Office Block
Start Date: 22/09/2025
Duration: Approx. 5 weeks (with follow-on projects available)
Day Rate: £280 - £300 per day (8 hours) depending on experience
The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced, self-employed Fire Door Inspector to join a compliance project in Central London. You will be carrying out intrusive fire door surveys on over 200 doors across a high-rise commercial office block, using the client's Bolster inspection system on your own device.
This is an outside IR35 engagement, ideal for a freelance contractor with proven fire door inspection experience.
Responsibilities
- Carry out intrusive fire door surveys in line with industry standards.
- Record inspection findings using the Bolster software system (on your own device).
- Work independently and accurately across 200+ fire doors.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and client specifications.
- Provide professional advice on remedial actions and follow-up works.
Requirements
- Fire Door Inspection Certification (mandatory).
- Demonstrable experience carrying out intrusive surveys on fire doors (commercial/office/high-rise).
- Own device suitable for Bolster app/system.
- Strong knowledge of fire door standards, regulations and compliance requirements.
- Able to provide certificates and references from previous clients/projects.
- Right to work in the UK.
