Interim Senior Clerk of Works – Staffordshire | £500+ per day | SPV Appointment
A 6 Month contract opportunity is available for a Senior Clerk of Works to support a significant PFI contract in Staffordshire.
This role, delivered via the SPV, is primarily focused on the inspection and validation of lifecycle and Handback Works, with a smaller element of FM contract management.
Key Responsibilities:
Attend school sites to inspect Handback and lifecycle works, ensuring compliance with agreed standards and specifications.
Liaise with the FM provider to drive completion and resolution of outstanding works.
Review previously rejected Handback Works, validate remedial actions, and support the release of retentions.
Engage with stakeholders to resolve a large volume of outstanding data issues from the local authority.
Candidate Profile:
Demonstrable experience in a Clerk of Works, building surveying, or FM oversight role, within a PFI environment.
Strong technical understanding of building fabric and a working knowledge of M&E systems.
Confident communicator, capable of working collaboratively across SPV, FM, and local authority stakeholders.
Experience with contract compliance, defect resolution, and lifecycle works is essential.
