Commercial Heating Engineer
£37,262 plus a van
Airdrie with travel
Our client is looking for a commercial heating engineer to join their team and cover sites in Perth, Dundee & Inverness. This is 40 hours per week.
The Role
- Ensure all PPM is carried out in accordance with the maintenance specification and documented in real time.
- Carry out reactive tasks throughout the sites
- Complete all relevant paperwork for PPM, reactive and breakdown works
- Update customers CAFM system in real time
- Ensure that plant faults and defects are swiftly remedied to maintain plant in serviceable order.
- Ensure that suitable spares are available to carry out both maintenance and reactive works.
- Undertake Point of Work Risk Assessment prior to starting work
- Supervising and monitoring of sub-contractors works whilst they are on site undertaking maintenance.
- Participate in the teams on call rota and be available for overtime

Qualifications & Experience
- A recognised industry qualification will be required, and previous experience is essential.
- Appropriate Combustion/Gas/Oil Qualifications essential
- Trade qualified Combustion Engineer with appropriate post apprenticeship experience desirable.
- Must have a full clean drivers' licence.
- Legionella awareness (preferable - can provide training)
- Asbestos awareness (preferable but not essential)
- MEWP Licence (preferable but not essential)
- First aid trained (preferable but not essential)
- Self-motivated and able to work unsupervised
- Able to work as part of a team
- Flexible and adaptable to change
- Must be available to participate in an out of hour's standby rota.
