We are currently recruiting for an Estates Manager to oversee 4 sites, 3 in the Leeds area and one remote site in the south. The buildings in the estate are prestigious and comprise some really exciting an engaging building types and functions- something a bit out of the ordinary!
Manging a small maintenance team, as well as keeping the buildings compliant and running to a high standard, this will encompass strategy for the growth of the overall estate, looking for an engaging in opportunities to better utilise and widen the portfolio,

The Role:
- Supporting 4 sites to deliver a compliant and well-functioning building environment with the aim of visitors being able to full enjoy their site experience
- Managing a critical site with laboratories and clean room
- Manging a small technical and administration team
- Report running on the CAFM system to ensure site are in line with KPI's for technical compliance
- Robust Health and Safety procedures for the estate including auditing the sites as required to ensure building are compliant and working with relevant professional bodies to pass external compliance audits
- Lifecycle and small works project planning
- Working and engaging with other internal departments to promote the work for the estates team and enable a smooth FM service for all internal and external users
- Bidding for grants with the local authority and filling out financial applications
- Able to negotiate and organise subcontractors
- Strategic thinker to create on ongoing estates plan
- P+L Budgetary management
- Completing funding applications and working with the finance team to obtain more funds for the estates department
- Working towards the goal of the estate being carbon neutral by 2030, bringing in initiatives to achieve this target
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
- Managing a portfolio of buildings previously
- Strong health and safety knowledge - qualification desirable
- Strategic thinker
- Grass roots attitude - able to help in all areas as needed
