Maintenance Assistant
Gosforth
Equivalent Salary £20K
37.5 hours per week

Our client is looking for a maintenance assistant to join their estates team to assist in the repair, service and inspection of building, mechanical, electrical and their associated systems.
The Role:
Mechanical
- Cleaning extract fans and ventilation grilles
- Temperature checks,
- Taking water samples
- Statutory testing and maintenance of safe water temperature devices
- Utility meter readings and consumptions
- Inspection, testing, and repair of fire fighting equipment
- To assist in the repair, service and inspection of building mechanical, electrical and their associated system
Electrical
- Replacement of defective light bulbs identified on bulb round sheets and/or ad-hoc basis. Cleaning of light fittings, shades / diffusers. (internal & external)
- Inspection, testing, and repair of fire detection equipment
Building
- Fixing of notice boards, clocks, notices etc
- Replacement of damaged ceiling tiles
- Clearing and maintenance of drainage, rain water and sanitary ware systems
- Replacement/re-fixing of hand/safety rails
- Inspection and patching repairs to flooring
- Brick work and footpath repairs
- Roof repairs
- Upholstery repairs
The Person:
- You will have some experience of working in a maintenance role
- You will be a good communicator
You will be required to have a standard DBS
