Commercial Analyst

Salary Up to £35k plus benefits

Our client is looking for a commercial analyst to join their team in Sterling. You will report directly into the Regional Commercial Manager.

The Role

• You will play a key role in the business relating to contracts and agreements.



• You will assist in the examination of a contract's terms and conditions, ensuring that any set rules are abided by and conform to standard.



• Attend site meetings and liaising with colleagues and managers are central aspects to the job.



• Provide structured commercial support to the RCM. Assisting on resolution of contentious items including debt recovery.



• Supporting the delivery of commercial improvement by the RCM through planning, preparing, and briefing the RCM in advance of commercial audits.



• Analysis of data relating to contract performance by building on existing tools to monitor contract compliance.



• Ensuring that all contract documents are up to date, accurate and complete.



• Ad-hoc support on commercial issues to the RCM

Structured Commercial Support

• Operate as the key commercial support for the RCM.



• Assist on the resolution of contentious items in agreement with the RCM.



• Supporting the RCM in the application of payment reports and contract mechanics.



• Identify and share areas of best practice from the wider FM industry

Commercial Improvement

• Support the RCM on the programme of commercial improvement activity.



• Prepare documentation for contract compliance and commercial health check reviews for the RCM.



• Deliver training to the regional business as required, addressing specific issues of risk.



• Undertake specific reviews of contracts where directed by the RCM.

Analysis of Data

• Undertake analysis of contract data relating to compliance and performance.



• Build on the existing platform of reports for the business.



• Develop a digital approach to indexing and documenting contract contents.



• Make recommendations for improvement of how commercial data is used.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Educated to Degree standard or equivalent OR



• Demonstrable relevant industry experience



• Recognised health and safety qualification (desirable)

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Essential

• Extensive experience of working within a commercial environment



• High degree of numeracy and literacy



• Proactive customer focussed approach



• Strong organisational and administrative skills



• Confidence and persuasiveness with good negotiation skills and the ability to recommend and implement ideas is required.

Desirable

• PFI/PPP/NPD experience in an education and / or health environment



• Commercial support pre contract (bid process)



• JCT / NEC contract administration / drafting experience
