Description

  • Electrical Maintenance Engineer
  • £30,000 - £33,000
  • Mobile – East Anglia

Currently recruiting for an electrical maintenance engineer to complete planned and reactive works on commercial properties. This is a mobile role covering several sites in the East Anglia area, especially Cambridge and Thetford.

The role is Monday to Friday 40 hours a week and you will be working alongside mechanical engineers to provide a full maintenance provision for the client across all the sites.

As well as planned work the role will include emergency response and repairs to critical equipment and will be client forward facing so you must have strong customer service skills as well as a good all-round knowledge of commercial maintenance.

The sites you will be working on are in a critical environment and as result there are also engineers working a night shift for the role, as a result there is no traditional call out rota as there are always engineers working in the patch. This is great for those who don’t enjoy call out and are looking for a good work-life balance while working on interesting sites.

Main Responsibilities/Duties Include:

  • Minor mechanical repairs and small works such as lighting, wiring, sockets, fault-finding, alarms, BMS etc.
  • Minor electrical installation works and mechanical make-safe repairs.
  • Carry out PPM tasks and record and complete relative documents
  • Carry out reactive callouts on critical systems
  • Driving between sites as dictated by the work load
  • Working alongside mechanical engineers to provide a full maintenance service to the client.

The ideal candidate for the role will have:

  • City and Guilds (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering
  • 17th Edition
  • 2391 test and inspection is desirable but not essential
  • Commercial maintenance experience
  • Strong communication skills

  • A confident, driven attitude with good planning and organisational skills
  • Full driving license
  • The successful candidate will be required to undergo a vetting process and offer will be subject to SC clearance.
