Assistant Facilities Manager

Our client is looking for an assitant facilities manager to join their busy contract in the north west. You will support the provision of lifecycle planning and delivery of lifecycle works, including mechanical & electrical services, water hygiene and management of asbestos.

The Role


  • To support the delivery of engineering activity including reactive, planned and minor project works.
  • You will support the delivery of a safe, customer focused, cost effective, efficient and compliant service to meet the contractual and legal obligations of the contract.
  • To deliver budgeted targets for profit/performance related to a work stream/function.
  • You will have good communication skills and maintain excellent relationships with the client, supply chain partners and other partners.
  • You will ensure compliance with all statutory, IMS, security and relevant company and client policies generating a true health and safety culture.
  • You will work together to ensure that the operational requirements are delivered in accordance with the SLA.
  • You will make sure that maintenance records are held & updated as required.
  • Identify remedial works and plan & record upon completion.
  • Work to budgets
  • Assist in the delivery of small works/lifecycle projects as appropriate.
  • Assist the development of site-specific policies and operational procedures which meet the contract requirements.
  • Undertake audits to ensure statutory compliance is being achieved and supply chain are working in accordance with RAMS/SSOW.

Qualifications & Experience


  • You will be a good communicator with good organicational skills
  • IOSH accreditation
  • You must have experience of statutory maintenance requirements
  • Be a member of a professional body
  • Hold a higher level qualification
