Building Estates Officer
Newcastle
£18- £19 per hour
3 month contract
Our client is looking for an experienced building estates officer to join their team on a temporary basis.
The Role
You will manage contractors and a direct labour force (DLF) of 10 carrying out maintenance on the estates buildings and grounds.
- Responsible for building maintenance on a day to day basis, including dealing effectively with operational incidents as and when they arise.
- Effectively diagnose building faults and instigate repairs.
- To manage working instructions and delegate work and tasks to the team.
- Manage other trade staff and contractors on day to day issues (ie issue of permits, holiday requests and co-ordination, sickness absence and return to work interviews) in conjunction with the Operational Estates Manager
Qualifications & Experience
- Served a recognised apprenticeship in an appropriate discipline
- Have a minimum of HNC
- Degree an advantage
- Hold a full UK driving licence
- Extensive previous general experience in service, maintenance, and repair of all general building services.
