My client is currently recruiting for an Electrically biased Maintenance Engineer to be based on a large static site in the E14 area of London. You will be looking after all on site assets for the customer and will be completing planned and reactive building maintenance across electrical and some mechanical building services.
The role is 40 hours a week Monday to Friday and there is no call out required for this role so the work life balance is very good.
Duties of the role include:
- Carry out testing and inspection, maintenance, and repairs, of building, mechanical and electrical services, associated systems, plant and equipment in accordance with relevant standards and operational procedures.
- Carry out duties in accordance with safe working practices within statutory and Company guidelines.
- Be able to maintain, service and repair a wide range of the building services including: Heating and domestic water services, Building drainage systems, Air conditioning plant and associated systems, Low voltage electrical distribution system and switchgear, Emergency standby generating plant, Fire alarm systems and emergency lighting, Electrical control systems and BMS
- Have an awareness of the operational procedures and safe working practices of major items of plant and systems as described above
- Maintain records and complete service reports as appropriate.
- Carry out installation work involved in minor upgrading and adaptation works.
- Assist other operatives in carrying out maintenance, repairs, testing, inspection and installation work.
- Where instructed, carry out minor repairs to the building fabric to ensure the safety and security of the Client's premises.
- Undertake training to maintain and develop skills in line with the requirements of the service.
To get to the higher end of the salary bracket on offer you must be able to complete basic works on HVAC (electrical), BMS, plumbing, pumps, AHU's and fixed wire testing.

Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
- NVQ or C+G in an electrical discipline
- 2391 test and inspection or equivalent
- Experience with kit as mentioned in the job description.
