Description

Project Manager - Temporary long term

Immediate requirement for a Project Manager with experience of delivering planned maintenance and defects projects within a Facilities Management or Construction environment.

Project values up to £2M and must be able to work across a number of projects

  • £250 - £300 per day plus mileage
  • 50 hours per week
  • 2 days based in Bury & 3 days travel expected
  • Ideally you will have experience of working on government or Health & education contracts
  • Must have own Lap top and phone to utilise during the contract

Duties and Responsibilities


  • Reporting directly into senior management to support the client to deliver defect and planned maintenance works across a number of projects, including MOD, Central Government and Health & Education projects.
  • Attend client and contractor meetings.
  • Projects may include refurbishments, M&E, upgrade of life cycle works, replacing security equipment, small works and general building works.


  • Project manage defect and planned maintenance works from £800K up to £2M
  • Manage the financial reporting
  • Provide support in the production of delivery tools
  • Undertake such other duties as may reasonably be determined as commensurate with the grade of the post.

Person Specification


  • Extensive Project Management experience of capital expenditure works ranging from £10k - c. £2m
  • BSc (Hons) Degree in Building Surveying/Project Management/Quantity Surveying or at least 10 years Construction Project Delivery Experience.
  • IOSH/NEBSOSH
  • Ability to interact at a senior management team level through presentations, one to one meetings and by written reports.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft packages, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Security Clearance will be required once in post
