My client is looking to hire an experienced security manager to work at a large hospital site in Wakefield. The role is a Monday to Friday 40 hours a week and is managing a team of 20 engineers and 4 supervisors who work on a 24/7 shift rota to provide a continuous cover for the site.
The security team's responsibilities include:
- Site walk rounds, working in A+E as a safety presence
- Monitoring wards and patients at the request of doctors and nurses to provide additional security
- Preventing entry and guarding no-access areas of the hospital
- Car park management including administering parking tickets for illegal parking and filling/emptying the ticket machines
Your role as security manager constitutes of:
- Line management of the team of officers and the supervisors,
- Managing compliance,
- Keeping up to date with new security legislation
- Attending managerial meetings
- Working along side other managers to provide full hard and soft services across the site.
The successful candidate
Our client are looking for the following skills and experience for the role:
- Previous experience as a Security Manager
- Experience or running a multi-faceted security service
- Experience within a healthcare environment is desirable but not essential
- Strong customer service focus
- Enhanced DBS required for the role
