Mechanical Maintenance Engineer / Fitter
37.5 hour week ( 8am - 4pm)
Healthcare Contract Newcastle
Up to £15 per hour
3-6 month contract
Our client is looking for an experienced mechanical maintenance engineer to join their hospital maintenance team based in Newcastle.
The Role
As a mechanical maintenance engineer, you will be joining a team of 20 staff to assist with the maintenance of a couple of hospital estates departments.
Duties include:-
Legionella awareness - servicing thermostats mix valves and recording temperatures.
Servicing air handling units
Servicing and maintenance of domestic calorifiers
Servicing and maintenance of plate heat exchangers
Pipework
Experience of working on ventilation plants
Experience of working on large domestic water plants
Initial Gas checks - FGAS an advantage
Knowledge of steam boilers is an advantage
Qualifications
HNC/ONC/C&G plumbing or mechanical engineering or NVQ level 3
Clean UK driving licence
