Role:
- Maintenance Engineer (electrical bias)
Location:
- Manchester
Salary:
- £40,000 per annum based on 40 hours per week plus overtime
- Monday to Friday
- 23 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays
- Overtime paid at x1.5 Saturday and x2 Sunday
- On-site parking space
- On-site maintenance office
Our client a leading Building Services provider is currently looking for an experienced Electrical bias maintenance engineer to join their team based in Manchester. The role is site-based working across commercial office blocks close within the vicinity of each other.
Duties:
- Facilities Maintenance including but not exclusive to:
- Emergency lighting
- L8 Water Monitoring
- AHU Servicing and Maintenance
- Fan Coil Service and Maintenance
- Pump Servicing
- Minor Electrical Works
- Basic Plumbing inc taps, Syphons, Flush Valves, Waste pipework
- BMES interrogations inc Control Panels.
- Statutory PPMs
- Complete electronic and paper records of all tasks carried out and filed in the site log books.
- Carry out housekeeping of all plant areas.
Skills:
- Experience in related role
- Good communication
- Good IT skills; Microsoft
- Practical and flexible approach to work with the ability to multi-task & work under pressure to achieve deadlines
- Experience with hardware tools and electrical equipment
- An understanding of basic plumbing or HVAC systems
- Experience with BEMS systems
- Being resourceful and self-motivated
- A Logical approach to fault finding
- Must be able to read schematic drawings
Qualifications:
- Hold a recognised trade qualification in the engineering sector; electrical, plumbing
- Ideally qualified to the 18th Edition of IEE Wiring Regulations
- Experience in a similar commercial maintenance environment
