Description

Role: 


  • Maintenance Engineer (electrical bias)

Location:


  • Manchester

Salary: 


  • £40,000 per annum based on 40 hours per week plus overtime
  • Monday to Friday
  • 23 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays
  • Overtime paid at x1.5 Saturday and x2 Sunday 
  • On-site parking space
  • On-site maintenance office

Our client a leading Building Services provider is currently looking for an experienced Electrical bias maintenance engineer to join their team based in Manchester.  The role is site-based working across commercial office blocks close within the vicinity of each other.

Duties:


  • Facilities Maintenance including but not exclusive to:
  • Emergency lighting
  • L8 Water Monitoring
  • AHU Servicing and Maintenance
  • Fan Coil Service and Maintenance
  • Pump Servicing
  • Minor Electrical Works
  • Basic Plumbing inc taps, Syphons, Flush Valves, Waste pipework
  • BMES interrogations inc Control Panels.
  • Statutory PPMs
  • Complete electronic and paper records of all tasks carried out and filed in the site log books.
  • Carry out housekeeping of all plant areas.

Skills:


  • Experience in related role
  • Good communication
  • Good IT skills; Microsoft
  • Practical and flexible approach to work with the ability to multi-task & work under pressure to achieve deadlines
  • Experience with hardware tools and electrical equipment
  • An understanding of basic plumbing or HVAC systems
  • Experience with BEMS systems
  • Being resourceful and self-motivated
  • A Logical approach to fault finding
  • Must be able to read schematic drawings

Qualifications:


  • Hold a recognised trade qualification in the engineering sector; electrical, plumbing
  • Ideally qualified to the 18th Edition of IEE Wiring Regulations
  • Experience in a similar commercial maintenance environment
