Our client is looking for a commercial gas engineer to join their mobile division to complete maintenance and some installation around the North East on various sites.
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The post holder will be required to work at various sites around the North East. The role will cover self-delivery of PPM, Reactive and Small Works. Ensure that the PPM works are delivered in a timely fashion in line with the agreed PPM planner. The post holder will also be expected to carry out repairs outside of their core trades. Must have good sound knowledge of maintenance, fault finding and installation of commercial gas installations.
DUTIES:
- To ensure that the Facilities are maintained to the levels specified in the Performance Standards of various contracts
- To undertake planned, responsive and cyclical maintenance work as per the agreed client programme
- To undertake maintenance duties in such a manner as to support the objectives of the client and with respect for the dignity and privacy of the client teams
- To ensure the safe operation of all plant, equipment and tools
- To operate at all times with safe working practices with due regard to Health and Safety Regulations, COSHH, Control of Infection, Waste Disposal etc in accordance with legislative requirements and policies and procedures
- To maintain asset histories, maintenance records and helpdesk reports
- Be open to gaining experience on Commercial gas Boilers, gas fired water heaters, gas cookers, gas proving systems, commercial gas tightness testing, gas boosters, gas fired radiant tube heaters, pressurisation units and vessels, cold water booster sets and heating controls.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Time served Commercial Gas Engineer with experience in installation and maintenance work
- Must be capable of being registered with Gas Safe (CCN1, CCP1, CENWAT, CIGA1, CORT1, CPA1, HTR1, ICPN1, TPCPIA, CODNCO1, CDGA1, TPCP1, BMP1, JO1)
- Experience in AHU / Gas Heating Plant Control systems
- Experience in commercial/industrial gas installations
- Health & Safety Certificate
- Post holder must hold a full current driving license and be willing to travel
