Business Development Manager 

Fixed term contract

Are you an experienced BDM in the construction consultancy, asset management  or PFI /PPP Facilities management sector? If so we would be keen to speak to you about this role.

We have an opportunity for a Business Development Manager (BDM) to join a market leading asset management consultancy team on a 15 month fixed term contract.

Summary:


  • Business Development Manager 
  • Salary £65,000 - £75000 + car allowance 
  • 15 - 18 month fixed term contract 
  • National Coverage - including some limited regional travel
  • Home working with a National Office base - South/ South West / North West (flexible to suit) 
  • Flexible pattern to suit workload and scheduled networking requirements
  • Consultancy experience desired 

This  is a home based role with limited travel and the candidate can live anywhere in the UK

My client is  looking for highly motivated candidates with a passion for collaboratively supporting business development through the promotion of the services provided  continually promoting the high-quality services and providing professional bidding / tendering support.

Duties Include:


  • Foster and development of  long-term relationships
  • Support market understanding, (90% of BD is internal market) 
  • Expand and diversify internal  client base
  • B-2-B development
  • Budget reviews 
  • Support the ongoing professionalism of systems, 
  • Develop up selling relationships and promote the full range of services to existing and new clients.
  • Build strong  relationships with key internal contacts
  • Take responsibility for the full portfolio of client accounts
  • Marketing/networking
  • Lead Generation
  • Generate leads / openings for sector leads
  • Product development support
  • Customer Relationship Management
  • Review existing CRM processes
  • Feedback management

Qualifications/Requirements


  • Business development/bid management  management experience ideally within a consultancy environment 
  • BDM experience within the Construction, consultancy asset management Or Facilities management industry (essential)
  • PFI /PPP experience desirable 
  • Client-account management experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrable marketing management experience
  • Tendering and bid writing experience 
  • Experience in delivering stakeholder engagement and communications including at senior strategic level
  • Excellent communicator at all levels; written and verbal
  • High-functioning analytical skills
  • Professional Services Consulting experience
  • Effective relationship builder
  • Genuine, high level of integrity
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Active listening skills
