We are working with a highly well-established, leading Technical Engineering solutions company who are looking to recruit a Mobile Fabric Supervisor. This will solely be working on School Contracts across the North West.
Purpose of the role
- To work as part of the mobile support team to supervise the completion of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and Reactive Maintenance to a multi-skilled mobile engineering team, requirements on Mechanical/Electrical Services
- Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, overseeing a team of multi-disciplined engineers and technicians.
Person specification
Essential
- NVQ Level 3 in Carpentry and Joinery or recognised equivalent City and Guilds 6706 or equivalent
- Modern Apprenticeship or Equivalent completed
- Supervisory Experience
- Ability to interpret technical specifications, regulations and drawings
- Be computer literate, proficient in Microsoft Office
- Experienced in the production of quotations for minor works and repairs
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Working knowledge of all aspects of building fabric, including woodwork, plumbing services, drainage and general décor
- Experience working on Fire Doors and Fire Compartmentation to FIRAS accreditation
Duties
- To achieve customer satisfaction within agreed service levels with the client
- Achieve PPM and Reactive targets and deadlines, both personally and through the supervision of technicians and sub-contractors, and manage the interface between technicians and the Helpdesk supporting the appropriate and effective management of work scheduling and completion.
Responsibilities
- Be responsible for the Hard FM supervision of a team of Building Fabric engineers and technicians
- Supervise and carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), including reactive maintenance and extra works/emergencies in accordance with the contract requirements on Mechanical/Electrical Services
- Supervise project works and minor turnkey projects
- Provide detailed reporting with predictive times for remedial and chargeable works, and life cycle condition reporting
- Ensuring at all times that service reports/timesheets are submitted timely and the management of such records is compliant with the company's agreed policy and ways of working
- Be a key interface with clients
- Supervise and carry out PPM in accordance with set schedules, ensuring engineering standards are maintained in order to maximise the operational effectiveness and reliability of Hard FM systems
- Ensure adherence to set engineering standards in accordance with Health and Safety at Work Act (HASAWA) requirements and industry standards
- Co-ordinate visiting specialist sub-contractors associated with the mechanical/electrical aspects of the PPM schedules
- Provide information to the Estimators regarding quotation in response to remedial works required or extra work
