Our client is recruiting a number of Mechanical Engineers to join their team on a prestigious new contract in Cambridge.
This is a permanent full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, bonus and excellent benefits package.
What will you deliver?
- Actively participate in the operation and control of all engineering planned maintenance schemes and undertake essential repair works and general maintenance activities to plant.
- Undertake fault finding and rectification on low pressure heating water systems, critical systems and equipment and pressurised steam systems. Using cause effect analysis and detailed examination to gain a solution and use of all relevant drawings and schematics.
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance inspections and commission and test in accordance with published procedures.
- Carry out emergency repairs as required (which may require overtime).
- Monitor the building services and report defects to the Technical Supervisors. .
The candidate
- Level 2 Plumbing & Heating (minimum)
Customer focused, confident in their skills and a confident communicator
Competent in fault finding and diagnostics and procurement of spares
Be willing to complete role-specific training on and off-site
Sufficient knowledge and skill to be able to use computers
Experience of requirements management and a system engineering approach
Maintains and develops knowledge, capability and competence in latest engineering standards and techniques
Must be able to obtain Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) clearance
Driving licence ( electric vehicle provided to drive around the site)
