My client is currently recruiting for a maintenance plumber to join their onsite maintenance teams, covering a large static site in Leicester. You will report into the Technical Services Manager and work alongside other electrical and mechanical engineers to bring a full ppm and reactive service to all building services on the site.
Duties include:
- Cold plumbing and associated duties including the installation, repair and maintenance of pipes, valves, fittings, and drainage systems. Common duties include working on taps, sinks, toilets, legionella checks and water systems.
- Planned preventative maintenance and scheduled lifecycle project work
- Reactive breakdown work
- Working both on the wards (customer facing)
- Completing all necessary paperwork associated with the role
- Managing on-site contractors
- Adhering to all Health and Safety policies and procedures

The Applicant:
The ideal applicant will be an experience mechanical engineer and will ideally have worked in a hospital or large critical sites before. The ideal applicant will have the following skills and qualifications:
- City and Guilds or NVQ in plumbing or a mechanical discipline.
- Maintenance experience on commercial properties or domestic properties.
- Experience working as part of a team.
- Positive attitude and good customer services.
- Willing to learn and happy to undergo additional training such as legionella L8 or to become a responsible person.
- Hospital or healthcare experience is desirable but not essential.
