Workforce Manager

Darlington

up to £36K

37.5 hours

Our client is looking for a Workforce Manager to join their maintenance team in Darlington.

The Role:-



    • To manage the directly employed labour force and contractors undertaking maintenance work.
    • Prepare specifications for day to day maintenance breakdowns/repairs.
    • Maintain an upkeep maintenance management system to ensure site wide compliance is achieved.
    • Diligently manage the allocation of all works to ensure monthly KPIs are met.
    • Carry out AP duties relating to various systems e.g. Electrical HV/LV, Ventilation, Medical Gases.
    • Compliance and operation of the labour management scheme.
    • Priority setting and assessment of all maintenance work.


Determination and measurement of materials and equipment to undertake maintenance.


  • Ensure safe systems of work and compliance with safety requirements.
  • Interpretation of and setting out new work from drawings, specifications and instructions without supervision.
  • Co-ordinate building and engineering works.
  • Investigate building defects, conditions and complaints.
  • Monitor standards and quality control works.
  • Ensure compliance with the QEFs Fire and Health & Safety Policies.

 

Carry a communication device (pager/mobile/radio) when on duty and on-call to facilitate rapid responses in emergency situations and improved services during normal working hours.

Qualifications & Training


      To have completed a suitable building services related craft apprenticeship (preferably engineering biased) plus a minimum of 4 years post apprenticeship experience, hold an HNC Certificate.


Must have held a supervisory/management position
