Facilities Asset Manager

We have a new opportunity for a Facilities Asset Manager to support a high security PFI MOD contract in London

This role is responsible for providing the technical lead on the project, working with the Authority and service providers for all matters relating to asset management.

You will be responsible for providing the strategic operational lead for effective asset management on site including lifecycle planning, asset condition monitoring project management and maintenance reviews.

Duties include:


  • Assisting the Senior Asset Manager on the Facilities contract for overall performance and contract compliance
  • Assisting the Manager with the Management of life-cycle and variations.
  • Asset management of building services
  • H&S and quality inspections
  • Asset reporting function, renewal, and enhanced maintenance strategies
  • Ensure all activities are delivered within agreed budgets.
  • Ensure effective management of the annual and 5-year lifecycle plan and the associated reporting, budgets and forecasts
  • Produce Lifecycle plans at frequencies determined by the Project Agreement.
  • Contribute to the management of the project to ensure that it complies with obligations under the Project Agreement and other project documents
  • Continually review and improve technical policies and procedures
  • Providing on-going management of all stages of the delivery of lifecycle project
  • Prepare and provide technical information for inclusion within individual project boards, project meetings and the EPL Board
  • Maintain awareness of developments in project and programme management and communicate examples of good and bad practice
  • Advise on, and manage where directed, the appointment of relevant specialist consultants and contractors

Qualifications/Requirements


  • Relevant degree or equivalent e.g. Chartered Mechanical, Electrical or Building Services Engineer or extensive mechanical or electrical knowledge and experience
  • A facilities management or building services related qualification preferable.
  • Experience in asset management in long term PFI complex projects
  • Proven experience in project management, including all aspects of process development and execution
  • Experience in the production of plans and reports to Board level
  • Extensive knowledge of MOD/ Defence would be an advantage
  • Working knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical both theoretical and practical
  • Health and Safety Regulations knowledge and understanding
  • Excellent client relationship experience
  • Compliance experience
  • Highly organised and customer focused
  • Able to work effectively in highly pressured environments
