Project Manager
Newcastle
£25 - £30 per hour depending on experience
3 months minimum
Our client is looking for an interim Project manager to join their estates team in Newcastle to help manage and deliver a broad range of in house related projects
The Role
- Responsibility for enduring a customer centric focus through effective stakeholder engagement and management to define a project, procure and manage its delivery.
- To provide client side management expertise and coordination of engineering design from development to implementation across the portfolio.
- To establish and coordinate stakeholder groups to develop projects from concept to handover.
- To communicate at all levels
- To establish and procure appropriate consultancy support to deliver projects.
- To appoint and manage principal contractors
- Act as designer on minor projects
- The completion and administration of standard forms of building contract, such as JCT and NEC.
- To assess project valuations and issue certifications / authorisations
- To carry out surveys, inspections, prepare schedules and provide professional services to support the management of the portfolio.
- Provide defect analysis, undertaking building surveys and producing professional reports detailing remedial actions.
The Person
- You will have a proven track record of client side project delivery achieving value for money and client satisfaction.
- You will need sound knowledge of construction technology, budget estimation, construction contract forms and their administration and construction project management.
- A proven track record of r managing multi - disciplinary design teams.
- Up to date knowledge of statutory requirements, legislation & contract law relating to construction projects, including H&S and CDM regulations.
- A construction related degree or experience in a project design related role ( Design Management or Project Management)
- Desirable - currently holds or working towards a professional qualification - MRICS, MCIOB, MWIFM
