This is a technical role so candidates should be either mechanical or electrical qualified.
The Technical Building Services Supervisor will be part of the our clients technical services team working on a healthcare contract in Berkshire. The successful candidate will play a key role in providing consistent service delivery to the client.
Duties/responsibilities:
- Developing business and Maximising the productivity of the self-delivery offerings
- Developing strong relationships with customers both internally and externally
- To ensure provision and management of service engineers on site and in customer's premises
- To undertake work planning duties for the local team liaising with the scheduler and maximise productivity and profitability
- Ensure all documentation is submitted in an accurate and timely manner
- Effective management of service engineers
- Training and development of Service engineers, offering advice, guidance and direct assistance
- Foster a performance management approach and take ownership of engineers
- Day to day management of service engineers including conduct, performance, attendance and capability. Taking the necessary and appropriate action to address any inappropriate behaviour or low standards, with support and advice from HR
- Attendance on HR related courses to ensure competence in dealing with people management responsibilities
Qualifications/ Requirements
- Relevant technical Service Supervisory experience within a Facilities Service contract
- Mechanical or Electrical qualified
- Experienced within Facilities Management industry
- Demonstrable experience of direct supervision of engineering staff and sub-contractors
- Organising and job planning skills
- The ability to create and work within a strong team environment
- A track record in project supervision
- The ability to price small works associated with core business
- A good understanding of Customer Service Levels and Key Performance Indicators
- Commercially aware
- Ability to work on own initiative, to a high level of accuracy and meet deadlines.
- Trade skills relevant to the M&E/FM industries
- Good communication and IT skills
- Strong people management leadership and Influencing Skills
- Good decision maker
- Passion for customer service
