Salary: £25-30k per annum.
Location: York

The Role
We are working with an expanding M&E contracting organisation who are looking for an Accounts administrator or Accounts clerk.
The role will be working in a small and friendly team, the successful candidate will require good communication skills and have an excellent attention to detail. Ideally to be qualified to AAT level (desirable) and have worked in a standalone account's role previously. Experience of Sage Line 50 accounts and payroll is essential, with good knowledge of Excel.
Specific duties:
- Processing purchase invoices - Check against purchase orders, match with delivery notes, code up to project and input into Sage.
Production of sales invoices through Cypher (3 rd Party Software) - Input into Sage and keep updated records of retention. Chase overdue invoices.
Bank payments and reconciliations with Sage. Ensure payments made on time.
Petty cash and credit cards and site expenses.
Weekly/Monthly Payroll - Keep records of Annual leave, check times sheets, Mileage Sheets and expenses etc.
Monthly CIS Returns & Quarterly VAT returns
Work in progress calculations.
Month end - Process, check and produce excel spreadsheets - Report to MD.
Year end - Ensure this is completed methodically, produce audit file and assist accountants.
Other ad-hoc duties (car mot dates, insurance records, mileage records etc)
