Energy Manager
£55k Minimum plus benefits
West Midlands
Our client is looking for an Energy Manager to join their team covering the west Midlands.
The Role:
- To ensure the effective management of energy resources to meet the clients objectives and targets.Do
- To identify, develop and implement new energy related opportunities.
- Carry out all energy related tasks to ensure service provision and
- compliance
- To motivate and train colleagues and customer organisations in good energy
- management practices
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the energy requirements (legal,statutory and technical issues) which are applicable to and/or affect the Clients business.
- Promote energy efficiency and provide advice and support for the
- development of energy efficient practices.
- Develop and implement energy saving conservation measures (ECM's) with
- associated Return on Investment (ROI)
- Develop and advise on energy solutions, developing these into working
- projects
- Undertake energy surveys in customers premises (offices and retail)
- Develop and implement strategic briefs for design guides /standards to meet
- the customer objectives and brief customer departments accordingly.
- Provide full feasibility studies of costed initiatives / projects to reduce energy usage and/or supply (i.e. embedded generation/ CHP).
- Project management and implementation of initiatives.
- The ability to provide monitoring and verification through the full cycle of the
- project to achieve cost and energy efficient solutions.
- Maintain a current level of utility market intelligence.
- Plan, monitor and achieve consumption / emission targets.
- Understand utility supply trading arrangements.
- Analyse utility profiles and benchmark against known data, liaising with the
- Energy Bureau where required.
- Provide regular and ad hoc management reports on all aspects of energy
- performance.
- Provide support and training to all other operational departments on all aspects of Energy where relevant.
Qualifications & Experience
- Full Uk Driving Licence
- Completion of a recognised degree or equivalent in engineering (e.g. mechanical or electrical.
- Knowledge and Experience
- Knowledge of customer operations, business drivers, financials and specialist sources of information, legislative requirements where necessary.
- Ability to carry out full energy surveys and feasibility studies of energy technologies (e.g. CHP)
- Strong knowledge of BMS and control theory to drive energy savings.
- Track record of delivering sustained energy savings across large portfolios
- Self-motivated and driven by results
- Project management experience
- Working knowledge of energy M&T software.
- Accreditation to a relevant industry body (e.g. CIBSE, ASHRAE)
- Competency in current energy and utility benchmark techniques and statistical analysis
- Extensive knowledge of the principle techniques and technologies which support the efficientuse of energy.
- Minimum 10 years' experience in energy management
- Accreditation to a relevant industry bodCIBSE, ASHRAE).
- Certified / chartered energy manager.
