Pre-Construction Manager/CDM Advisor
We have an immediate temporary requirement for 9 month contract for a Pre-Construction Manager to work on primarily on small construction projects up to the value of £2 million.
This is a site based role and the Pre construction Manager will be responsible for all matters relating to pre-construction for several construction and additional works projects.
The Pre-Construction Manager will need to be experienced in all matters relating to pre-construction with a strong knowledge of CDM to assist and advise the construction team from concept, planning and to the delivery of projects.
This is a dual role, also acting as CDM Advisor you will be responsible for advising on health and safety risk management in accordance with CDM regulations, ensuring the projects meet their legal requirements.

Responsibilities -
- Advise designated and specific project design team members including client organisations on Health and Safety risk management matters, to carry out duties as Principal Designer in accordance with CDM regulations.
- Assist and support SHEQ Manager.
- Help develop the role of CDM Principal Designer as defined by the Construction Design and management Regulations 2015.
- Assist and provide support and advice to the project team to facilitate best practice standards both in the design and the delivery of projects.
- Review projects and designs as Principal Designer and advising on any other additional works project teams to ensure consistency in Pre - construction Health and Safety matters and standards.
- Collate, organise and assist the client in providing Pre -Construction Information, develop project risk registers and Pre-construction phase plans.
- Direct liaison with Consultants and Contractor throughout design and pre-construction stage.
- Working alongside the Site Management Team to create and implement Principal Contractor duties.
- Will be involved in site inspections and CDM audits throughout delivery of the projects.
Qualifications/Requirments
- Demonstrate an ability to undertake the above responsibilities.
- Demonstrate experience and understanding of design and construction management and methodologies.
- Proven skills in the delivery of CDM services.
- Strong communication skills.
- Computer Literate.
- NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent IOSH membership.
- Have a minimum of 3 years working as a preconstruction manager or similar job role.
