Fire Engineer
Associate Director- Fire Engineer
We are recruiting for an experienced Fire Engineer to be based either from home or local offices covering projects nationwide.
The project portfolio is diverse, exciting and ranges from conceptual fire strategy development through to survey/assessment of existing cladding or compartmentation remedial works.

Fire Responsibilities
The main areas of activity and commissions will relate to fire compliance in both; operation and design, protection, and monitoring, supporting organisations in developing and maintaining robust and compliant fire design strategies and providing assurance for all aspects relating to fire safety management.
- Plan and direct fire engineering activities for your own projects.
- Conduct building and fire code reviews and analyses.
- Prepare and present technical reports and presentations.
- You will be required to work independently or form part of a project team on a range of different projects, typically supporting Healthcare and Educational sector clients, throughout the procurement, operation and life-cycle of both privately financed and traditional capital funded projects.
Qualifications/requirements
- Degree Educated and registered with a relevant institution such as the Institution of Fire Engineers (IFE), experience in a consultancy environment at a Senior Manager/Director level.

- You should be qualified and a practicing Authorising Engineer (Fire) (Desirable)
- Typically professionally qualified to IOSH standard, CMIOSH or equivalent
- Experience of assessing and implementing risk management systems within the built environment and refurbishments, facility management and commercial property sectors, including ISO management systems
- Knowledge and experience of auditing to legal standards, company standard or best practice, and certifications
- Considerable operational and design (including fire engineering approaches) experience in delivering fire strategies for construction projects across various building sectors
- Knowledge and experience in undertaking fire risk assessments, in varying environments
- Experience in occupational risk assessment, particularly within the corporate environment
- Proven track record of successful project & personnel management
- A track record in providing ideas for improving the fire safety industry
- You will require a full UK driving license as this role will involve some travel
