Site Supervisor

Salary Equivalent £20,737
Our client is looking for a site supervisor to join their team to supervise, co-ordinate and direct the works carried out by the maintenance team on site.
Duties
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance tasks as directed by the Contract Manager and assist in the scheduling of annual planned preventative maintenance programmes, outlining priorities for the maintenance and development of the site, and to ensure the plan is implemented.
- To consult with the management team, other site users and appropriate external agencies in determining priorities.
- To monitor plant and equipment, to ensure maximum efficiency. To commission specialists where necessary, to address problems/recommend solutions as and when required.
- To supervise and undertake minor refurbishments, building work, repairs and replacements where possible within 24 hours of detection. Ensuring legal requirements are met and work is carried out to a high standard.
- Assist in the supervision of the cleaning teams ensuring they keep all areas of the site clean, safe and secure. Undertake cleaning duties as designated in the site cleaning schedules and support the cleaning teams where necessary.
- To assist the management team in ensuring that the health and safety responsibilities for the site are met, including reviewing and implementing emergency procedures, checking equipment, ensuring statutory electrical testing takes place and participating in and following up Health and Safety inspections.
- To ensure the physical security of the site is maintained at all times by appropriate systems
- To prepare risk assessments relating to site supervisor duties and other activities, to ensure legal requirements are met and safe working practices adhered to. To provide advice and training for staff in relation to the preparation of risk assessments and safe working practices.
- To monitor the performance of contractors to ensure that all work is of an acceptable standard and liaise with contractors to remedy any shortfall in performance.
- To ensure that the inventory is kept up to date so that equipment, materials and stock are accounted for.
- To ensure that all stock inventory, equipment and material transactions are accounted for and orders for new and replacement materials are placed, under direction from line management.
- To ensure that the facilities and services operate in compliance with Health and Safety legislation and procedures at all times and to report all accidents and incidents as and when required
- To carry out any other duties assigned by the Management Team in connection with RFM's operational requirements
Qualifications
- A health & safety qualification desirable
- L8 experience an advantage
Training will be given to the successful candidate on any areas that require.
