Description

  • Resident Engineer - HVAC bias

The post of offer is for a resident engineer to work at a large static site in Leeds (near Seacroft). ON the site you will be the client liaison for all things related to maintenance and be responsible for all planned and reactive works. You will work as a multi-site engineer, specialising in HVAC but also being willing to complete electrical, mechanical and fabric works as needed to provide a comprehensive service to the customer. The site is a large secure facility and so a DBS will be required as part of this role.

You will be supported by a mobile team of M+E Engineers providing all manner or technical support as needed.

Being the on site engineer you will also be responsible for issuing permits to work and managing subcontractors. You will also attend client meetings and develop a strong relationship with the client on site.

Duties of the role include maintaining:


  • Split A/C systems, VRV/VRF
  • Air-handling units
  • Chillers
  • Comms rooms
  • Basic electrical works - lighting, wiring, sockets etc
  • Basic mechanical works - pipework, basic plumbing - taps and toilets
  • Basic fabric work as required for the upkeep of the building

The idea candidate will have


  • FGas or Safe Handling or Refrigerants certificate
  • Experience working with varied type of refrigeration and air-conditioning
  • 17 th /18 th edition would be an advantage
  • Good communication skills
  • Willingness to learn and work on varied kit across the site
  • Flexible attitude
  • DBS is required for this role
