Our Client is a leading service business in the UK across public, private and healthcare sectors.
We are recruiting for a handyman with a joinery bias to be based on a large site in Lakenheath. The role is completing ppm and reactive maintenance on housing and will include joinery, painting and decorating.
This is a full-time role working 40 hours a week Monday to Friday 8.00am to 5.00pm and on offer will be a salary of £26,000. This role will report into the Account Manager. It is a temp to perm role with the first few months working on a temporary timesheet basis and then being permanent as part of a site expansion.
The main duties and responsibilities are:
Responding to reactive breakdowns for most fabric repairs such as:
- Carpentry work,
- Minor roof repairs,
- Painting and decorating,
- Minor fabric work
- General site maintenance such as fan coil cleaning
- Site walkrounds and asset surveys
- Working with our projects team on larger works to carry out Carpentry and general building works
Qualifications and experience required:
- NVQ or City and Guilds in Carpentry is preferable but not essential
- Competent in joinery
- Flexibility to complete various maintenance tasks
- Ability to work as a team
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent organisational skills are essential
- Good background experience in all areas of maintenance
