Role: Accounts Assistant (Temp to Perm - Hybrid)
Location: Bolton
Salary: £17.60 plus benefits
We are seeking a highly motivated Accounts Assistant to work with our client in the North West area. The ideal candidate will have a background in accounting, experience with purchase orders, and a strong operational understanding, preferably in the construction industry. This role requires someone who can independently manage tasks, meet deadlines, and suggest efficiency improvements to enhance our processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process purchase orders and manage operational finances, with specific emphasis on understanding the unique dynamics of the construction industry.
Utilize Excel and VLOOKUP to analyse project income on a monthly basis.
Assist with month-end reports and the accounts process, including updating budgets and chasing forecasts.
Manage cost accruals and income accruals to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
Collaborate with teams to provide support and ensure adherence to financial protocols.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Part-qualified accountant with AAT certification.
Previous experience in operational finance, ideally in the construction industry.
Ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative, and consistently meet deadlines.
Proficiency in Excel and VLOOKUP for financial analysis.
Familiarity with month-end reporting processes and budget management.
Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to suggesting process improvements.
